Proximity Inductive Switches are used for non-contact metal sensing. Being contactless sensors these can be used for position sensing, speed measurement, counting, etc. These inductive proximity sensors can be used in extreme conditions, such as oily, dusty, corrosive environment. Proximity Inductive Switches are used from automobile industries to steel industries, from CNC/NC machines to material handling equipments, process automation, conveyor systems, packaging machines.

Inductive proximity sensors can be used for position sensing, speed measurement, counting & in conditions such as oily. dusty, corrosive environment. These inductive sensors applications are in Automobile, Steel Industries, CNC/NC machines, Conveyor systems, Packaging machines etc.

These 3 wire DC sensors are with NPN or PNP transistorised output and the load is connected in parallel.

Dc Type (2 Wire Version)
These Sensors are designed to work as solid state DC limit switches. The Sensors are connected directly in series with a load and have a bridge rectifier so they are not polarity conscious. The circuit is such that, when in off state, it allows very low current to flow through the load. However, a output load (such as relay) should be chosen, considering the voltage drop across the switch in the ON state. These sensors find wide application in electrical control circuits and PLC's.

These Sensors are designed to provide better alternative to conventional limit Switches / micro switches. These are epoxy potted similar to other types of sensors to render IP67 protection and hence are suitable even in underwater applications. The load (AC Contactor / AC Relay / Solenoid Coil) is to be connected in series with the switch.

Inductive Sensor (Analog Output)
Inductive sensor with analog output works in similar way as standard 3 wire DC Inductive Sensors. When a metal target comes in vicinity of the sensor , energy is drawn from the oscillator. This energy loss is in proportional with the distance between sensor and the target ; which is converted in analog signal.
The analog signal is made linear and then amplified to give 0-10 V output.

INDUCTIVE SENSOR ( NAMUR )

Inductive Sensor (NAMUR)
These are analogue output switches called ‘NAMUR’ output switches. These are 2 wire DC switches consisting only the sensor part of the total circuit. Due to their low current and voltage, these switches are most suitable in explosive or hazardous areas, when used with switching amplifier confirming to DIN 19234. The Low impedence of the switch is virtually immune to interface pick-up on the lead connecting to its amplifier. The switching can also be obtained through interface circuit or custom microprocessor besides switching amplifier. Besides its application in the hazardous areas, these can be used in normal environment where in space is the criteria. In such cases the amplifier unit can be kept in control panel and signals can be used led to it through a long cable.

Proximity Capacitive Switch
Capacitive Proximity Sensors is designed to detect and react to any object which moves into the operating zone. The sensors contains an oscillator. The capacitance of this oscillator is linked with the sensing face and when any object moves into the operating zone, its capacitance activates the oscillator. The sensors can detect conductive as well as non conductive material. It is advisable to have an object with permitivity more than one. The conductive objects are generally to be earthed for better results.
